Downtown Cafe and Soda Shoppe in Edenton

Friendly, good food at a great value, food appeared lightening fast after ordering. The pimento cheese appetizer was especially delicious (and came with gourmet crackers which paired perfectly).

We really enjoyed our late lunch here. Our waitress was super friendly and was really helpful in choosing from the menu. I had the turkey sandwich with cranberry relish and it was amazing.

We will not go back. Very busy place. Very Patriotic but the food I couldn’t stomach and I’ll eat anything after being served military chow for over 20 years.

The triple basket is excellent! You get to try all their salads in one plate - and get to pick your favorite for next time.

Not what I was expecting. Thought there would be old sodas or something like that to try & experience but it was just regular coke products. Food was good though and the service was nice.

Vanilla coke is a favorite. Quick wait time with satisfying lunch options. One of the healthiest lunch places in this town. Friendly staff.

Stopped by yesterday on a wim, glad we did. Very enjoyable, friendly, good food, atmosphere, overall great experience for a late lunch. Makes me want to be a regular, shame I don't live in Edenton.

Simply put Just plain absolutely GOOD!

Group of 4 each enjoyed different sandwiches, lemonade, orangeade, tea, and ice cream cups. Very good food with courteous service. Good lunch!

Amazing! Everyone was so friendly and the place is quite charming! The food was fantastic, I'd suggest the Ultimate Club Sub and a milkshake.

A fun restaurant with a consistent and friendly wait staff that will learn your face and order if you go often enough! The food is good and the restaurant and bathrooms are clean. This was recommended to me by a friend and it was a good choice! They have a decent sandwich menu and also have milkshakes and fresh popped popcorn available.

I thought the highlight of my road trip down routes 17 and 13 would be trying shrimp and grits in various small towns, but the Soda Shoppe was actually the most delightful experience I had. Great lunch, excellent ice cream floats, and friendly company and service. Looking forward to coming back sometime!

Great sandwiches, service and prices.

Food was good however our waitress was apparently not feeling well or was having a bad day. She was not friendly @ all & had a very bad attitude. It will be a VERY long time before I visit there again. I know the owner Frank Jones would be very disappointed to know about this because he's always so outgoing & friendly but for health reasons he has not been able to be there.

Sadly most of the restaurants here are closed during the day so this one just about our only option. Nothing spectacular.

This is the one place i love coming in for for 🍦 sandwiches soda cream sodas etc that has a old 50s 60s feel it may be just how i feel but its so cozy and nice!

Wonderful neighborhood lunch spot... Down to earth, clean & friendly. The Chero's chicken wrap & fresh squeezed orangeade are the best! Daily specials are available & owner Frank is usually around to offer up a warm welcome. Closed Sundays.

Good food at reasonable prices. Great selection of sandwiches. The atmosphere has got an old retro vibe to it and lots of naval memoribilia. Staff is always wonderful and the service is good.

My husband and I have a lunch date here once a week. We are able to eat good food at a fair price and still have time to get a coffee from across the street while he is in his lunch break.
